Golf Lite Err Msg: General Protection Fault in Module Atir3.drv (187806)

When you click any selection after you start Microsoft Golf 1998 Lite,
you may receive the following error message:
MSGOLF98 caused a general protection fault in module ATIR3.DRV
CAUSE
This issue can occur if you use an ATI Rage II display adapter and you
enable multiple monitors.
RESOLUTION
To work around this issue, configure the computer to use only the primary
monitor. To do this, follow these steps:
- Click Start, point to Settings, click Control Panel, and then
double-click Display.
- On the Settings tab, click a non-primary monitor in the Display box.
- Click the "Extend my Windows desktop onto this monitor" check box to
clear it.
- Repeat steps 2-3, for each non-primary monitor listed.
- Click OK.
Note that you may want to contact the display adapter or computer
manufacturer for information about obtaining the most current display
drivers available for your display adapter.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Golf 1998 Lite.
