Error Message in Rundll32 Using Horror Channel Desktop Theme (187795)

SYMPTOMS

When you shut down your computer, you may receive one of the following error messages if you are using the Horror Channel desktop theme:

  • RUNDLL32 caused a General Protection Fault in module wfm0011.acv
  • EXPLORER caused a General Protection Fault in module wfm0011.acv
When you restart the computer, it may stop responding (hang).

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if a Creative Labs sound card using Windows 3.x drivers is installed in the computer.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, contact Creative Labs to remove the Windows 3.x sound card drivers. For information about how to contact Creative Labs, query in the Microsoft Knowledge Base for the following article:
