XL98: Preview Is Not Displayed in New Dialog Box (187715)

In Microsoft Excel 98 Macintosh Edition, when you display the New dialog
box by clicking New on the File menu, the Preview section displays the
following message
Select an icon to see a preview.
This behavior occurs even though you have selected an icon.
CAUSE
This problem may occur when the following conditions are true:
- You select a template from the New dialog box and click OK.
-and-
- You then click New on the File menu. The preview for the icon that is
selected by default is not displayed.
WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, select any other icon in the New dialog box,
and then select the icon you want to preview again.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Excel 98
Macintosh Edition.
