When you attempt to create a shortcut in a compressed folder using the
Create Shortcut command on the File menu, the shortcut is not created.
RESOLUTION
To work around this issue, create a new shortcut in a folder that is not
compressed, and then copy or move it into the compressed folder.
STATUS
This behavior is by design. Shortcuts do not work in compressed folders.
The Create Shortcut command on the File menu should not be available in a
compressed folder.
