XL98: Unexpected Quit After Changing Tab Order of Option Buttons (187592)

When you display a dialog sheet in Microsoft Excel 98 Macintosh Edition,
you may receive one of the following symptoms.
The following error message is displayed:
The Application "Microsoft Excel" has unexpectedly quit because an
error of type 2 has occurred.
You should save your work in other open applications and restart the
computer.
The following error message is displayed:
The Application "Microsoft Excel" has unexpectedly quit because an
error of type 1 has occurred.
You should save your work in other open applications and restart the
computer.
Microsoft Excel quits without error.
CAUSE
This problem may occur when both of the following conditions are true:
- You change the tab order of an option button on a Microsoft Excel 5.0
style dialog sheet.
-and-
- You display the dialog in a macro or by clicking Run Dialog on the Forms
toolbar.
WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, use one of the following methods:
- After you change the tab order for the option buttons, save, close,
and then reopen the workbook before you display the dialog sheet.
-or-
- After you change the tab order for the option buttons, add an additional
option button to the dialog sheet before you display it.
NOTE: After the dialog sheet is displayed, you can delete the additional
option button.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Excel 98
Macintosh Edition.
