GW 1.0: Greetings Workshop Taskbar Buttons Inactive (187565)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Greetings Workshop
This article was previously published under Q187565 SYMPTOMS
The buttons on the Greetings Workshop taskbar will be inactive if the
following conditions are true:
- The Office Shortcut Bar is positioned at the bottom of the screen (on
top of the Windows taskbar).
-and-
- The Office Shortcut Bar is set to Auto-hide.
Consequently, there will be no apparent way to exit Greetings Workshop
from within the program.
CAUSE
When you move the insertion point to the bottom of the screen, the Auto-
hide feature shifts focus from Greetings Workshop to the Office Shortcut
Bar. The Office Shortcut Bar will not, however, be visible from within
Greetings Workshop.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, use any of the following methods:
- Turn off the auto-hide feature on the Office Shortcut Bar.
-or-
- Move the Office Shortcut Bar away from the bottom of the screen.
-or-
- Close the Office Shortcut Bar.
STATUS
This issue was resolved in Greetings Workshop version 2.0.
MORE INFORMATION
An alternate method for exiting Greetings Workshop is to press ALT+F4. This
is a standard keyboard command for closing an application.
