The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Commercial Internet System 1.0
  • Microsoft Site Server 2.0

This article was previously published under Q187548

SYMPTOMS

When the Content Replication System (CRS) is configured with the following CRS Command line utility, server2 and server3 will never get added:
   CRS EDITPROJ <Project> destination=server1 server2 server3

Server1 may also not get fully added.

The Destination value is located in the Content Replication System project information key:
   HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\CRS\Projects\<Project Name>

This can cause the CRS <Project Name> to fail.

RESOLUTION

To work around this problem, use the Content Replication System Web Administrator program or upgrade to Site Server version 3.0

If this behavior is a serious problem, then apply the fix described below.

STATUS
