Err Msg: A Required .dll File, Msvcrt.dll, Was Not Found (187513)

After you uninstall Windows 98 and then restart your computer, you may
receive the following error message:
A required .dll file, Msvcrt.dll, was not found.
CAUSE
This behavior can occur if a shortcut to MSN Quick View is located in the
StartUp folder.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this behavior, remove the shortcut to MSN Quick View from the
StartUp folder. To do so, follow these steps:
- Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Taskbar & Start Menu.
- On the Start Menu Programs tab, click Remove.
- Double-click the StartUp folder.
- Click MSN Quick View, and then click Remove.
- Click Close, click OK, and then restart your computer.
MORE INFORMATION
MSN Quick View relies on the Msvcrt.dll file for some of its
functionality. When you uninstall Windows 98, the Msvcrt.dll file is
removed, but the shortcut to MSN Quick View remains in the StartUp folder.
As a result, when MSN Quick View is started, it cannot locate the
Msvcrt.dll file.
