Plus 98!: Deleting Desktop Theme Does Not Remove Screen Saver (187340)

When you delete a Desktop Theme using the Desktop Themes tool in Control
Panel, the theme is deleted but the associated screen saver remains on the
computer.
CAUSE
When you delete a Desktop Theme using the Desktop Themes tool in Control
Panel, you delete only the .theme file. The associated screen saver is not
deleted because the screen saver has an .scr file name extension.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, follow these steps to remove a Desktop Theme and
all its associated files:
- Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
- Double-click Add/Remove Programs.
- Click Microsoft Plus! 98, and then click Add/Remove.
- Click Add/Remove, and then click Next.
- Click the PLUS SIGN (+) beside Desktop Themes to expand the branch.
- Click the check box beside the theme you want to remove to clear it,
and then click Next.
- Click Next, and then click Finish.
- Click OK.
