Boxes Are Displayed in a Document Viewed Using Quick View (187322)

SYMPTOMS

When you use the Quick View tool to view a document, one or more boxes may be displayed in addition to the document's text.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if the document contains embedded objects, such as images or files.

RESOLUTION

To work around this behavior, view the document using a program that can open the document's file type and display embedded objects. For example, if you are trying to view a Microsoft Word (.doc) document, use Word or Microsoft WordPad to view the document.

STATUS

This behavior is by design. Quick View is not designed to display embedded objects.
