When you transmit a file using the NetBT (NetBIOS over TCPIP) protocol, the
following STOP error message may be displayed:
Stop 0x00000040 TARGET_MDL_TOO_SMALL
CAUSE
Under certain conditions, the NetBT driver fails to check the buffer size
and can cause a crash if another driver provides a buffer that is too
small.
RESOLUTIONTo resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Windows NT 4.0 or Windows NT Server 4.0, Terminal Server Edition. For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in the
