You may receive several e-mail messages when an e-mail message is sent with
a binary file attachment.
CAUSE
This behavior can occur if the e-mail message contained a large binary file
attachment that was sent in HTML format.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, ask the sender to use Plain Text format. To
configure the Plain Text Mail Sending Format in Microsoft Outlook Express,
follow these steps:
- In Outlook Express, click Options on the Tools menu, and then click the
Send tab.
- Click Plain Text under Mail Sending Format, and then click Settings.
- Click Mime, click Quoted Printable under Encode Text Using, and then
click OK.
- Click OK.
MORE INFORMATION
Outlook Express may not assemble e-mail messages with large binary
attachments sent using HTML format. However, if an e-message is sent with a
large binary attachment in Plain Text format, Outlook Express automatically
assembles the e-mail message with the attachment.
