XL98: Zoom Button Is Unavailable in Print Preview (186869)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Excel 98 Macintosh Edition
This article was previously published under Q186869 SYMPTOMS
When you view your workbook in print preview, the Zoom button may be dimmed
(unavailable).
CAUSE
The Zoom button may be dimmed in print preview if your monitor is set
to a very high video resolution. When you are using a high resolution
monitor, Microsoft Excel 98 Macintosh Edition determines that zooming
capability is unnecessary.
RESOLUTION
To make the Zoom button available in print preview, lower the resolution on
your monitor. To do this, follow these steps:
- Quit Microsoft Excel.
- On the Apple menu, point to Control Panels, and then click Monitors &
Sound.
- Click the Monitor button in the Monitors & Sound control panel.
- Select a lower resolution in the Resolution list.
You monitor resolution is automatically changed to that resolution.
- Close the Monitors & Sound control panel.
- Restart Microsoft Excel.
