FP98: Nothing Happens When Clicking Bulleted List Button on Formatting Toolbar (186828)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft FrontPage 98 for Windows
This article was previously published under Q186828 SYMPTOMS
When you click the Bulleted List button on the Formatting toolbar, nothing
happens. In other words, you cannot remove the bullets from the selection.
CAUSE
This behavior occurs if you selected the bulleted list by double-clicking in the left margin. When you select a bulleted list in this manner, FrontPage treats the selection as a block of text and does remove the bullets.
RESOLUTION
To remove the bullets from the list, select the bullleted list by following these steps:
- Place the mouse pointer where you want to start selecting.
- Press and hold down the mouse button and drag the pointer to where
you want the selection to end.
- Release the mouse button.
When you click the Bulleted List button on the Formatting toolbar, the bullets are removed.
NOTE: This method of selecting text does not create a block selection.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
