SYMPTOMS
After you view and close a fax received in Microsoft Outlook 98, the
envelope icon on the taskbar remains visible.
RESOLUTION
The envelope icon on the taskbar will disappear as soon as you receive and
read a new e-mail message. To quickly remove the icon, you can send
yourself a message, open it, and then close or delete the message.
MORE INFORMATION
Users click buttons that appear on the taskbar to switch between running
programs or receive status information. For example, if your computer
supports advanced power management (APM), a Battery Meter icon can appear
on the taskbar.
