IntelliPoint 2.2: Cannot Type in Programmer's File Editor (186445)

SYMPTOMS

When you use the Microsoft IntelliMouse wheel to scroll in Programmer's File Editor (Pfe32.exe), you are no longer able to type in this program.

CAUSE

Programmer's File Editor is not fully compatible with the Universal Scrolling feature of the IntelliPoint software version 2.2.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, refresh the Programmer's File Editor window. To do this, click outside the Programmer's File Editor window, and then click inside the program window. You can now type in this program again.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft IntelliPoint software version 2.2.
