When you attempt to start one of the programs listed above, you may
receive the following error message:
Barney caused an invalid page fault in module Rtlib32.dll.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, use the following methods in the order in which
they are presented. When you complete each method, test the Barney software
title to check if the issue is resolved. If the issue continues to occur,
proceed to the next method.
Start Only One Barney Program at a Time
Start only one instance of any Barney software title at a time. You

these steps:
- Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
- Double-click System.
- Click the Device Manager tab.
- Double-click CD-ROM to expand the branch, and then double-click the
CD-ROM drive listed in the branch.
- On the Settings tab, click the Auto Insert Notification check box to
clear it.
- Click OK until you return to Control Panel.
- Close Control Panel, and then restart the computer.
Quit Unnecessary Programs
Quit all unnecessary programs that are running on the computer. To do
this, follow these steps:
- Press CTRL+ALT+DELETE to open the Close Program dialog box.
- Quit all programs except Explorer and Systray (which are parts
of Windows). To quit a program, click the program, and then click
End Task.
- Repeat steps 1-2 until all unnecessary programs are no longer running.
- Disable any anti-virus or disk tool programs installed on the
computer. For information about how to disable these programs, see
the printed or online documentation for the program.
Clean the CD-ROM
Clean the Barney software title CD-ROM to remove fingerprints, smudges,
and dust. To clean the CD-ROM, gently wipe the silver side of the CD-ROM
with a soft, lint-free cotton cloth. Do not use paper cloth which can
scratch the plastic and leave streaks. When you clean the CD-ROM, wipe
from the center of the disc outward; do not use a circular motion.
