SYMPTOMS

After you create a Hardware Profile with your network adapter or dial-up adapter disabled, the adapter may still appear on the Configuration tab in Network Properties. The adapter may still be visible even after you restart your computer.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur because the adapter is not removed unless you uninstall it. While it is disabled, the adapter is still visible.

STATUS

This is by design.
