Cannot Save Changes to Note Taker Files (186029)

When you save a Note Taker (.pwi) file, you may receive the following
error message:
This note contains formatting that cannot be saved in text format. Do
you want to save the changes?
If you tap Yes, you lose any changes you made using the Jot Character
Recognizer tool.
CAUSE
This issue can occur if you open a Note Taker file using the Find tool.
RESOLUTION
To work around this issue, open Note Taker files using the Note Taker
program. To do so, follow these steps:
- Tap Start, and then tap Note Taker.
- Tap the file you want to open.
- Tap File, and then tap Open.
- Make changes to the file using the Jot Character Recognizer or the
onscreen keyboard.
- Tap File, and then tap Save.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows CE version 2.0 for
the Palm-size PC.
