  • Microsoft Word 98 Macintosh Edition
  • Microsoft PowerPoint 98 Macintosh Edition

This article was previously published under Q186007

SYMPTOMS

If you change the poster frame in a movie you have inserted into a document, the movie's poster frame may not be preserved when you close and reopen the document.

CAUSE

The poster frame for the movie may not be preserved if you have not saved the document since you changed the poster frame. If you change the poster frame and then close the document without making any other changes, you are not prompted to save changes to the document.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, click Save on the File menu after you change the poster frame for the movie. If you then close and reopen the document, the poster frame is retained.

NOTE: In Microsoft Word 98 Macintosh Edition, before you save the document, make another change to the document (for example, change text in the document). Otherwise, the change to the poster frame is not saved.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
