FP98: Hover Button Doesn't Inherit Target Frame of Current Page (185891)

SYMPTOMS

When you insert a hover button on a page, it does not inherit the default target frame settings of the current page.

CAUSE

The hover button property does not reflect the actual default target setting of the page.

RESOLUTION

Set the target frame of the hover button to something other than the page default. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. Open the frames page in FrontPage Editor.
  2. Right-click the hover button, and then click Java Applet Properties on the menu that appears.
  3. Click Browse.
  4. Click the Change Target Frame button.
  5. In the Common Targets list in the Target Frame dialog box, select the frameset you want to link to and then click OK.
  6. Click OK.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
