Variables are processed in the following order:

  1. Dynamic variables such as operating system variables.
  2. System variables defined in the System tool in Control Panel.
  3. Variables defined in the Autoexec.bat file.
  4. Environment variables defined in the System tool in Control panel for the current user.
NOTE: If the same variable is defined more than once, the value of the variable is the value that is set last.
