Remote Networking Displays Area Code with Local Telephone Number (185607)

When you double-tap a dial-up connection in Remote Networking, the
connection may display the area code with the telephone number. The area
code may be displayed even though you tapped the Force Local check box
to select it when you created the dial-up connection.
MORE INFORMATION
When you type in the User Name, Password, and Domain boxes, and then tap
Connect, the correct telephone number without the area code is dialed.
