Golf 98: Computer Hangs at Random Intervals (185526)

SYMPTOMS

While you are playing Microsoft Golf 1998 edition, your computer may stop responding (hang) at random intervals.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if you are using a 16-bit sound card.

RESOLUTION

To work around this issue, turn off the game sounds feature in Golf 98. To do this, follow these steps:

  1. Click Menu, point to Options, and then click Game Preferences.
  2. Click the Game Sounds box to change the value inside the box to No.
  3. Click OK.
