XL98: Cannot Resize Chart Title (185482)

SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft Excel 98 Macintosh Edition, you are unable to manually resize a chart title.

CAUSE

This problem occurs when the following conditions are true:

  • You create a chart that contains a chart title. -and-

  • You attempt to resize the chart title manually by activating the chart title and use the sizing handles to change the size of the chart title.

STATUS

This behavior is by design of Microsoft Excel 98 Macintosh Edition.

For more information about Chart Titles, click Contents And Index on the Help menu (or on the Balloon Help menu if you are using a version of the Mac OS earlier than 8.0), click the Index button in Microsoft Excel Help, type the following text

and then click Show Topics. Select the "titles, charts" and click Go To. If you are unable to find the information you need, ask the Office Assistant.
