Small Business Server Client Does Not Install DUN on Windows 95 (185478)

SYMPTOMS

When you run the Small Business Server client setup disk on a Windows 95 computer, Dial-up Networking is not installed. DUN will only appear in the list under Communications on the Windows Setup tab in Add/Remove programs.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Small Business Server versions 4.0 and 4.0a. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.

To install DUN, do the following:
  1. In Control Panel, double-click Add/Remove Programs.
  2. Click the Windows Setup tab.
  3. Select Communications and click Details.
  4. Click to select the Dial-Up Networking box. Click OK twice.
