PBS Import of Region File Fails If Region Name Contains Apostrophe (185249)

SYMPTOMS

When you use PBAdmin to import a file that contains a name with an apostrophe, the import fails and the following error message appears:
An error has occurred during command line processing. See import.log in the application directory for details.
The Import log states something similar to the following:
4/3/98 3:14:39 PM, <phone book name>, An unspecified error occurred on import. -
<phone book name>; Region ID = 1

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, remove the apostrophe from the region name.

RESOLUTION

A supported fix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that is described in this article. Apply it only to computers that are experiencing this specific problem. This fix may receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, Microsoft recommends that you wait for the next Microsoft CommercialInternet System service pack that contains this hotfix.
