SBFM97: Error Message Appears When You Import QuickBooks Data (185173)

SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to import data into Microsoft Small Business Financial Manager 97 for Microsoft Excel 97 (SBFM), you receive the following error message:
A problem was encountered while Microsoft Small Business Financial Manager tried inmporting your QuickBooks accounting data. Please make sure that QuickBooks is registered and all password protection is disabled. You'll need to exit Microsoft Excel, check the QuickBooks settings and try importing the data again. You may also need to restart Windows in order to run QuickBooks.
An internal error has occurred. SAccountName is corrupted in the Load Transaction.

CAUSE

This problem occurs when you are importing data in one of the following products:

  • Quickbooks for Windows, versions 3.1
  • Quickbooks for Windows, version 4.0
  • Quickbooks Pro for Windows, version 4.0.

    -and-
  • You are using the memorized transactions feature of these products.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, run the memorized transactions in Quickbooks before you use the Import Wizard in Microsoft Small Business Financial Manager 97 for Microsoft Excel 97. Please consult your product documentation for more information.

This problem occurs when you use Microsoft Small Business Financial Manager 97 for Microsoft Excel 97 and the following products:

  • Intuit Quickbooks for Windows, versions 3.1
  • Intuit Quickbooks for Windows, version 4.0
  • Intuit Quickbooks Pro for Windows, version 4.0.
