IntelliMouse: Cannot Use Wheel if Middle Button Assigned to F1 (184877)

SYMPTOMS

If you use the Microsoft IntelliMouse in Microsoft Windows NT 3.51 and you assign the middle button of the IntelliMouse to the F1 key (Help), you may not be able to scroll using the IntelliMouse wheel.

CAUSE

This problem can occur if you click the middle button of the IntelliMouse when the Help window is open.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, restart the computer.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft IntelliPoint software, version 2.0.
