BUG: Automatic Joining Only Joins Two Tables (184575)

This article was previously published under Q184575 SYMPTOMS
The Query Designer creates only one join based on columns with the same
name and data type. If more than one join is possible, the Query Designer
stops after creating the first join.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a bug in the Microsoft products listed
at the beginning of this article. We are researching this bug and will post
new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes
available.

The user drags in three tables. A is related to B, and B is related to C.
Query Designer finds the join between a single pair of tables, then stops.
