The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Word 98 Macintosh Edition

This article was previously published under Q184165

SYMPTOMS

When CopyPaste version 3.3.4 or 4.1.1 is enabled, after you insert a table in Word 98 Macintosh Edition, the table menu items are unavailable (dimmed), although the toolbar buttons will work. The Undo menu command is also unavailable, although COMMAND+Z still works.

WORKAROUND

Use the toolbar buttons on the Tables And Borders toolbar to format the table. To activate the Table toolbar, follow these steps:

  1. On the View menu, click Toolbars, and select Tables And Borders.
  2. The Tables And Borders toolbar will appear with formatting buttons for Merge Cells, Split Cells, and so on.

STATUS

This problem occurs when you use Microsoft Word 98 Macintosh Edition and CopyPaste version 3.3.4 or 4.1.1.

MORE INFORMATION

CopyPaste is a Shareware Utility program that allows you to access and use ten clipboards instead of just one. CopyPaste modifies a program's submenus to add this functionality.
