IntelliMouse Wheel Doesn't Work When Universal Scrolling Enabled (183937)

SYMPTOMS

When you turn on the Universal Scrolling feature of the IntelliPoint software, the IntelliMouse wheel may not work in programs that do not include built-in support for the IntelliMouse wheel.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if the program's scroll bars are located outside the visible area of the screen.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, move the program's window or increase the screen resolution until the program's scroll bars are visible on the screen.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft IntelliPoint software, version 2.2.
