- Microsoft Word 98 Macintosh Edition
This article was previously published under Q183223 SYMPTOMS
If you change the internal margins of a text box in Microsoft Word 98
Macintosh Edition, the text box will not automatically redraw. That is, the
text within the text box will not move until you resize the Text Box.
WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, manually resize the text box. It will then
move to the expected location.
To resize the text box, use either of the following methods.
Change the Size of the Text Box
Move the mouse pointer over one of the sizing handles and either increase
or decrease the size of the inline picture.
Follow these steps:
- Click the object to select it.
- On the Format menu, click Text Box.
- Click the Size tab and type new Height and Width settings. Click OK.
Type Something
If you type anywhere in the text box or in the document and wait a moment,
the text updates correctly automatically.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products
listed at the beginning of this article.
