Import converter, Mswrd832.cnv.
CAUSE
There is a problem with the Mswrd832.cnv converter that causes the
z-order not to be maintained.
RESOLUTION

Import Converter. For additional information, please see the following article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base: 162214 WD: How to Obtain the Word 97-2000 Import Converter
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem with certain versions of the
Word 97 Import Converter.
This problem is corrected in the version of the converter available
with Microsoft Office 97 SR-2.
MORE INFORMATION
For a drawing object or graphic, its "z-order" is its position in a stack
of graphics using a three-dimensional coordinate system. In the three-dimensional coordinate system, the x-axis and y-axis represent the
horizontal and vertical positions, while the z-axis represents the depth.
For example, if you have multiple graphics in the same location in the x-axis and y-axis, the z-order designates which graphic is positioned on
top, and which is on the bottom.
