For information about how to edit the registry, view the "Changing Keys And Values" Help topic in Registry Editor (Regedit.exe) or the "Add and Delete Information in the Registry" and "Edit Registry Data" Help topics in Regedt32.exe. Note that you should back up the registry before you edit it. If you are running Windows NT, you should also update your Emergency Repair Disk (ERD).

To reset the toolbars to the default settings, follow these steps:

1. Close all instances of Publisher 98.
2. On the Windows Start menu, click Run.
3. In the Open box, type regedit, and click OK.
4. Go to the following registry key:

         HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\8.0\Publisher\5.0\Tracking Data
   						

5. In the right pane of Registry Editor, under the Name column, click CmdBarData.
6. On the Edit menu, click Delete.
7. In the Confirm Value Delete dialog box, click Yes.
8. On the Registry menu, click Exit.

When you restart Publisher, the toolbars will be reset to their default settings.
