This article was previously published under Q182106 SUMMARY
Corruption of the password list file (PWL) may cause a number of Microsoft
Outlook 98 problems. Renaming or deleting the PWL often resolves these
problems.
After installing the Microsoft Windows 95 Service Pack 1, the password list
files can become damaged even after you remove them and they are re-created
automatically. To resolve this issue, run the Windows 95 Password List
Update program (Mspwlupd.exe) to repair the existing PWL file.
