XL98: Callout Adjustment Handle Disappears When It Is Moved (181959)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Excel 98 Macintosh Edition
This article was previously published under Q181959 SYMPTOMS
In Microsoft Excel 98, you can move the yellow adjustment handles for a
callout to adjust the location and size of the callout. However, if a
callout has three or more adjustment handles, and you move the adjustment
handles, one of the handles disappears.
CAUSE
This problem may occur when you move one of the adjustment handles so
that it is on top of another handle for the same callout. When this occurs,
the handle that is beneath the other handle becomes unusable and may not be
visible.
WORKAROUND
When this problem occurs, there is no way to recover the handle. If you
want to use the additional yellow adjustment handle to size or position the
callout line, recreate the callout.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products
listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this problem
and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it
becomes available.

AutoShape on the Drawing toolbar.
