PI: Error Message: Fatal Exception Error in VXD PPSCAN (181642)

SYMPTOMS

If you are scanning by using a Mustek 600 III EP Plus to a Windows 95-based computer, you may receive the following error message after you scan two documents in a row:
Fatal Exception Error in VXD PPSCAN

CAUSE

This issue occurs because Mustek's driver version 2.3 for the Mustek 600 III EP Plus scanner causes fatal exception errors in VXD PPSCAN on some Windows 95-based computers.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, download the patch file 24update.exe to update to version 2.4 of the driver. This file, and all Mustek scanner drivers, are available from Mustek's Internet Web site.
