PPT97: AutoClipArt Feature Does not Work with ClipGallery 4.0 (181554)

SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to insert an AutoClipArt image suggestion in Microsoft PowerPoint 97, you may receive the following error message:
The search failed because ClipGallery is already running or the image is unavailable.

CAUSE

This message appears because AutoClipArt feature was designed to work with ClipGallery 3.0, not ClipGallery 4.0. ClipGallery 4.0 is shipped Publisher 98 and the Small Business Edition version 2.0.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
