167896 Unable to Share Programs in a Conference

To enable sharing in NetMeeting on a Windows NT-based computer, use one of the following methods:

Method 1

  1. Start NetMeeting, and then click Enable Sharing on the Tools menu.
  2. Click Yes, and when you are prompted to restart your computer, click Yes.

Method 2

To enable sharing in NetMeeting on a Windows NT-based computer, change the Start value in the following registry key to match the value listed:
   HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\mnmdd

   Start=dword:00000001

Method 3

You can enable sharing automatically on a Windows NT-based computer. For information about this method, refer to the following command available with the NetMeeting SDK:

rundll32 setupdd,NMInstallNTDisplayDriver

For this to work, a dynamic-link library (DLL) named Setupdd.dll must be located in the installation folder or the System32 folder on the target computer.

The NMInstallNTDisplayDriver method, along with the Setupdd.dll file being downloaded into the Redistrb folder in your NetMeeting SDK folder, can be used to enable program sharing in Windows NT. You should install and use the Setupdd.dll file only in Windows NT 4.0 with Service Pack 3.
