The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Commercial Internet System 1.0
  • Microsoft Site Server 2.0

This article was previously published under Q181336

SYMPTOMS

When you use Microsoft Content Replications System (CRS) to replicate access control lists (ACLs), directory ACLs do not get replicated. If you have a project scheduled to run automatically, the changes to the directory ACLs do not trigger replication

WORKAROUND

Use only file ACLs or preset directory ACLs on the End-Point Server.

RESOLUTION

If this behavior is a serious problem, then apply the fix described below.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Commercial Internet System, version 1.0 Service Pack 1, and Microsoft Site Server version 2.0.

A supported fix is now available, but it has not been fully regression- tested and should be applied only to systems experiencing this specific problem. Unless you are severely impacted by this specific problem, Microsoft recommends that you wait for the next Service Pack that contains this fix. Contact Microsoft Technical Support for more information.
