German Commerce Server 2.0 Store Builder Fails If IE 4.0x Is Installed (181168)

SYMPTOMS

If you run the Microsoft Commerce Server 2.0 Store Builder Wizard on a system with the German language versions of Commerce Server 2.0 and Internet Explorer 4.0x installed, you will receive the following error message on the last page of the Store Builder Wizard:
MSCSUTIL error '800a4005' in Finish_post.asp, line 29

CAUSE

This problem occurs because Commerce Server 2.0 Store Builder Wizard was neither designed nor tested to run with Internet Explorer version 4.0x that was released after Commerce Server 2.0. The problem has only been seen using the German language versions of Commerce Server 2.0 and Internet Explorer 4.0x.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem do not install Internet Explorer 4.0x on a server system which has the German language version of Site Server 2.0 installed.
