GW 2.0: Dialog Balloons Centered On Screen (180715)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Greetings Workshop 2.0
This article was previously published under Q180715 SYMPTOMS
All dialog boxes or dialog balloons are in the middle of the screen rather
than along the sides of the screen.
CAUSE
This error occurs on some systems that have an ATI graphics adapter. The
ATI adapter has a setting that is automatically centering all dialog
boxes.
RESOLUTION
To work around this behavior, follow these steps:
- Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
- In Control Panel, double-click the Display icon.
- In the Display Properties dialog box, click the Settings tab.
- Click to clear the Center Dialogs check box in the lower-left corner,
and then click OK to close the Display Properties dialog box.
By clearing the Center Dialogs check box, you ensure that all the
dialog boxes or balloons displayed by different software programs are
positioned according to the design of each individual software program,
rather than having them all be centered in the middle of the screen.
- Restart the computer.
