XL98: New Toolbar Appears to Have No Name (180697)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Excel 98 Macintosh Edition
This article was previously published under Q180697 SYMPTOMS
When you use the Customize dialog box (click Customize on the Tools menu)
to create a new toolbar in Microsoft Excel 98 Macintosh Edition, the new
toolbar appears to have no name even though you entered a name in the New
Toolbar dialog box.
CAUSE
Because the new toolbar contains no tools, it is too narrow to display the
name.
RESOLUTION
If you add at least two tools to the new toolbar, its name begins to
appear. If you add four or more tools to the toolbar, the toolbar is wide
enough to display its full name.
STATUS
This behavior is by design of Microsoft Excel 98 Macintosh Edition.
