CAUSE

This error message occurs when all of the following conditions are true:
  • You close a consolidated file.

  • The consolidated file uses resource sharing.

  • The consolidated file contains at least one cross-project link.

  • The files that are inserted in the consolidated file have been moved to a different directory from where they were originally saved.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, remove the resource sharing links and re- create them to point to the new location. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. On the File menu, click Open.
  2. Select the resource pool, click Open. When prompted, click open resource pool read-write and then click OK.
  3. On the File menu, click Open.
  4. Select one of the projects that shares the resource pool, and click Open. When prompted, click Do not open other files.
  5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 for each of the projects that share the pool.
  6. Switch to the resource pool. On the Tools menu, point to Resources, and then click Share Resources.
  7. Select all of the files listed under Sharing Links. Then, click Break Links.
  8. Close and save all files.
  9. Open the consolidated file.
  10. If any inserted projects are invalid or missing in the consolidated file, delete the invalid references if necessary, and reinsert them.
  11. Close and save the consolidated file.
  12. Open the resource pool and each of the files that share resources from it.
  13. In the first file that shares resources from the resource pool, point to Resources on the Tools menu, and then click Share Resources.
  14. In the Share Resources dialog box, click Use Resources.
  15. In the From list, click to select the resource pool, and then click OK.
  16. Repeat steps 13-15 for each of the files that uses resources from the resource pool.
  17. Close and save all projects.
