CAUSE
This error message occurs when all of the following conditions are true:
- You close a consolidated file.
- The consolidated file uses resource sharing.
- The consolidated file contains at least one cross-project link.
- The files that are inserted in the consolidated file have been moved
to a different directory from where they were originally saved.
WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, remove the resource sharing links and re-
create them to point to the new location. To do this, follow these steps:
- On the File menu, click Open.
- Select the resource pool, click Open. When prompted, click
open resource pool read-write and then click
OK.
- On the File menu, click Open.
- Select one of the projects that shares the resource pool, and click
Open. When prompted, click Do not open other
files.
- Repeat steps 3 and 4 for each of the projects that share the
pool.
- Switch to the resource pool. On the Tools menu, point to
Resources, and then click Share Resources.
- Select all of the files listed under Sharing Links. Then,
click Break Links.
- Close and save all files.
- Open the consolidated file.
- If any inserted projects are invalid or missing in the consolidated
file, delete the invalid references if necessary, and reinsert
them.
- Close and save the consolidated file.
- Open the resource pool and each of the files that share resources
from it.
- In the first file that shares resources from the resource pool, point
to Resources on the Tools menu, and then click Share
Resources.
- In the Share Resources dialog box, click Use
Resources.
- In the From list, click to select the resource pool, and then
click OK.
