PRJ98: Blank Tasks Not Displayed (180290)

SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft Project 98, blank rows may be hidden in any view that uses a table.

CAUSE

Blank rows are not displayed when either of the following check boxes are cleared on the View tab in the Options dialog box (click Options on the Tools menu):

  1. Show External Successors
  2. Show External Predecessors

WORKAROUND

To display blank rows, follow these steps:

  1. On the Tools menu, click Options.
  2. Click the View tab.
  3. Under Cross project linking options for '<project name>', click to select both the Show External Successors and Show External Predecessors check boxes.
  4. Click OK.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the versions of Microsoft Project listed above.
