Permissions Error When Using Add User Wizard in SBS (180285)

While running the Add a New User Wizard, you may get the following error
after creating the user account then clicking OK:
The Wizard was unable to read the permission information on the shared
folder CDRom. As a result, the shared folder list may be incomplete.
If you click OK, the Add a New User Wizard continues without error.
CAUSE
If you share the CD-ROM drive on a computer running Small Business Server,
this error will occur. The wizard is looking for NTFS permissions and there
are none on a CD-ROM drive. Because these permissions don't exist, the
error is generated.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, you can do one of the following:
- At the error dialog box, click OK to continue.
-or-
- Stop sharing the CD-ROM drive.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in BackOffice Small Business
Server version 4.0 and 4.0a. We are researching this problem and will post
new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes
available.
