WD98: Some Paragraph Border Styles Are Not Transparent (180215)

When you view a document in online layout view, some paragraph border
styles do not appear to be transparent.
CAUSE
This problem may occur when you apply a background color to a document that
contains one of the following paragraph border styles:
Dotted line (third style)
Dashed line (fourth style)
Dot-dash line (fifth style)
Dot-dot-dash line (sixth style)
Zig-zag line (eighteenth style)
Zig-zag line (nineteenth style)
Striped line (twentieth style)
WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, use a different border style to border the
text. Do not use one of the styles listed in the "Cause" section of this
article.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft Word 98
Macintosh Edition.
