OL98: Printing Error "The Operation Failed" (180194)

SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to print another user's calendar, you may receive the following error message:
The owner of the calendar has not given you permission to print his or her task list. You should either ask the owner for Read permission on his or her Tasks folder or you can uncheck the taskPad option in the File Page Setup dialog

CAUSE

You do not have read permission to the Task list and you are trying to read the other user's calendar using the Day/Week/Month view.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, use any of the following methods:

  • Change the view that is being printed to something other than Day/Week/Month.

    -or-
  • Have the other user give you permissions to the Task folder.

    -or-
  • Change the page setup for the Daily Style so that it does not include the Task Pad print option.

To Remove Task Pad as a Printable Calendar Option

  1. On the File menu of the Calendar, click Print.
  2. Click to select the Daily Style, and then click Page Setup.
  3. Under Options, click to clear the Task Pad check box.
