This article was previously published under Q180179 SYMPTOMS
If you delete the primary Calendar folder from the Microsoft Exchange
Server, Outlook creates a new Calendar folder. The new folder does not
contain appointments from the old folder but the small calendar displayed
in Day/Week/Month view still shows bolded days for the old appointments.
CAUSE
Deleting the Calendar folder from the server does not reset the free/busy
information in Outlook.
RESOLUTION
Run Outlook with the /CleanFreeBusy command-line startup switch.
NOTE: The font settings for the Date Navigator may also cause the
appointments to appear bolded. To check these settings:
- On the Tools menu, click Options.
- On the Other tab, click Advanced Options.
- In the Appearance Options section, click Font, ensure that the Font
Style is not Bold, and then click OK three times to close the Options
dialog boxes.
